After being inspired by bachlava, I put together a list of my 100 favourite female characters from movies, TV, plays, and books. A list wasn’t enough for these fictional ladies, so I’m showcasing their awesomeness with photos and quotes. So over the next few weeks I'll be posting mini-picspams of my top 100. Rather than assign them each a ranking, I've grouped them according to similar qualities, interests, or professions.

Apparently, I have a thing for lady cops, so today’s group features eight women employed in law enforcement agencies of various types. Next up will be the exact opposite, the ladies for whom murder, manipulation, and mayhem is their forte.

“Oh for Pete's sake, he's fleeing the interview! He's fleeing the interview!”Collapse )

So apparently I went overboard with the one SPOOKY Fic I managed to write. It's too long for a comment, so here it is in all its weird, weird glory. I don't know where this came from. It's so not my usual stuff.

Mothballs, Boone/Charlie, creepy Victorian dresses, PG13

“I don’t know about you…,”Charlie swallowed hard. “Of all the crazy things we’ve encountered, this has to be the freakiest one yet.”Collapse )

I'm back. I'm unpacked. I have new appliances and a new bed and a new desk. I have the wrong new couch, but the right one will come in a week. I have full rooms and empty rooms. I'm exhausted but thrilled. Life is good.

After moving from a 700 sq foot high-rise urban condo to a back spilt suburban home practically in the country, this is what I have learned:

1. There are spiders everywhere - inside, outside, hiding in the mailbox, spinning a web in the laundry room. I am going to have to lose my arachnophobia ASAP if I am going to survive. Luckily Daniel is a superior bug catcher.

2. I get to do Halloween this year. Trick or Treaters will come to my door. I can have a pumpkin!

3. People say hello on the street. This is easier when there is 2 people on the sidewalk instead of 200.

4. In our old home we were always within eyesight or earshot of each other. Now there are times when I have no idea where my husband and dog are in the house. This is a problem when you have a michevious puppy, though hopefully not a problem with Mr. E.S.

5. It only takes an hour to mow our lawn. Fancy that! I thought it would be an all afternoon project!

Here is a question I have not the memory or the experience to answer. Did people text each other back in 2003? If so, was in popular in England?
